BMW Group Indonesia launched Connected Drive service which can be used in BMW cars marketed in Indonesia.
Connected Drive is a telematics system that offers a number of advanced features, in which users can connect smartphone with several features in the car.
Jodie O'tania, Director of Communications BMW Group Indonesia explained that BMW is focused on digitalisation.
The German manufacturer continues to strengthen its digital expertise, delivering modern vehicles, software, hardware and premium services that are seamlessly integrated.
"With the presence of BMW Connected Drive in Indonesia, we are redefining the way our customers interact with BMW cars," explained Jodie.
This technology is only available on BMW cars with VIN 2024 and is available on the latest BMW 3 Series models, namely the BMW 330i M Sport Pro and BMW 320i M Sport.
BMW Connected Drive can be accessed via the My BMW application which can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Users can control several functions in the car remotely. For example, starting the car, sounding the horn, and adjusting the cabin temperature before the driver enters the vehicle.
Apart from that, BMW Connected Drive can also check the condition of the car via smartphone, for example distance travelled after driving, remaining fuel, service time period, vehicle damage warnings and so on.
