The Hyundai Venue assembled in Nepal is to be launched on 18th May, 2024.
Lakshmi Group, the official distributor of Hyundai cars for Nepal, has established a state-of-the-art plant at Ramgram in Nawalparasi and started assembling cars in the country.
The group had registered the industry in the year 2076 to assemble vehicles in the name of Lakshmi Motor Corporation. The industry aims to assemble 8,000 vehicles annually.
It had been preparing for some time to assemble the Venue in the country, which has a very good market in all four meter SUVs. The company has already tested the venue assembled in Nepal in different regions of Nepal. After passing the test, it is going to be officially launched for sale.
The Venue has been available in the Nepali market with 1.0 litre turbo petrol and 1.2 litre naturally aspirated engines, out of which, one in turbo petrol and 4 variants in naturally aspirated engine are available.
Media sources speculate that all these variants might be assembled in Nepal. The price of this SUV in the Nepali market has been speculated to start from 4 million to 6 million (US$ 30,000 to 45,000).
It is estimated that the price of the venue will be cheaper after it is assembled locally. When importing assembly kits, the government has been giving 25% discount on customs and 50% on excise duty, as well as income tax and other benefits.
