Tata Elxsi partners with Mercedes-Benz for vehicle software development

Tata Elxsi has announced a collaboration with Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) for the development of vehicle software engineering and Software Defined Vehicles (SDVs).
Mercedes-Benz, with nearly 140 years in the automotive industry, is engaged in the development of software-defined vehicles. The company's software architecture is intended to support vehicle functionality, user interfaces, and performance.
"This collaboration relates to Tata Elxsi's work in automotive software and digital technologies, including Software Defined Vehicles," stated Manoj Raghavan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tata Elxsi. "Tata Elxsi has worked with MBRDI for over a decade, and this agreement continues that engagement."
Tata Elxsi works with manufacturers internationally to develop SDV platforms intended to support innovation and software scalability across vehicle models.
It is involved in autonomous, electric, and connected vehicle technologies, and offers tools including the AVENIR SDV suite and the AUTONOMAI ADAS suite.
Tata Elxsi provides design and technology services across the automotive, broadcast, communications, healthcare, and transportation sectors.
It works with manufacturers and suppliers on research and development, design, and product engineering. It operates development centres in various locations and employs over 13,000 engineers and specialists.
