Omoda & Jaecoo Philippines has disclosed the specifications and pricing of its two inaugural models: the all-new Omoda C5 and the all-new Omoda E5, marking the brand's entry into the automotive market before the year's end.

Performance specifications

The C5 is equipped with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine delivering 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. This engine, featuring Dual Variable Valve Timing (DVVT), is paired with a 9-speed continuously variable transmission (CVT), enabling fuel efficiency of up to 13.69 km/ litre. It offers two driving modes: Eco and Sport.

The fully electric E5 is powered by a single motor that generates 201 PS and 340 Nm of torque. This allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 172 km/h.

A 61-kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery provides a range of over 430 km (certified at 442.7 km by the Automobile Association of the Philippines).

The battery can be charged from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes using a DC fast charger or fully charged in 8 hours with an AC charger.

Pricing

The pricing for these models is as follows:

- C5: PHP 1,279,000 (US$ 21,700)
- E5: PHP 1,649,000 (US$ 28,000)

Warranty

- C5: A 7-year or 200,000-kilometre bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year or 1,000,000-kilometre engine warranty.
- E5: An 8-year or 200,000-kilometre warranty for the EV battery and motor.
