Petrol cars and spare parts of the GAC brand are to be officially imported and distributed by TC Service Vietnam in the Vietnamese market in 2024.

Affirming the presence in Vietnam's automobile industry, increasing domestic competitiveness.

In February 2024, Tan Chong Group was officially appointed by GAC MOTOR, gaining the right to import and distribute petrol motorcycles and spare parts of the GAC brand in Vietnam.

The GAC brand will be distributed by Tan Chong Group through its subsidiary TCSV (TC Services Vietnam) and authorised to participate in the retail distribution of automobiles, providing maintenance, repair and spare parts according to Vietnamese law.

According to information from Tan Chong Group, with its new role, the Group believes that this will be an opportunity to expand its presence in the Vietnamese automobile industry.

Tan Chong is one of the largest automobile groups in Malaysia, currently owning a business network in 16 countries, of which, the Southeast Asian market is especially focused, including 8 countries: Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia and Vietnam.

In Vietnam, Tan Chong Group has been operating in the automotive industry for more than a decade and is one of the largest Southeast Asian investors in Vietnam. In addition, this Group also owns a global standard assembly factory in Da Nang.

In addition to the agreement reached with GAC MOTOR in Vietnam market, Tan Chong Group is also the exclusive distributor of petrol, PHEV and pure electric motorcycles GAC AION with 11 dealers in Malaysia market.

Besides, the Group was also appointed by GAC MOTOR to build a US$ 12 million vehicle assembly plant in Malaysia to produce the all-new B-SUV, GS3 EMZOOM model, launched in April 2024.
