Delta Autocorp, the authorised distributor of Aprilia scooters in Nepal, has finally updated the SR line-up with the Aprilia SR 160.

Aprilia SR 125 and SR 150 continue to be a steady seller in the Nepali market. To continue that trend, Aprilia Nepal has introduced a much-awaited upgrade.

Compared to the older generation, the Aprilia SR 160 sports a larger 160cc FI engine with quality-of-life improvements over its lights, instrument cluster, braking, and more.

Design

Aprilia SR 160 continues the SR 150 design. However, it has been more refined by bringing the scooter into the modern era.

The front section comes with apron-mounted LED lights with integrated DRL. Like before, the halogen indicators are positioned at the handlebar. It also gets a newer split-seat setup with a raised grab rail. Moreover, the larger air box is fairly noticeable.

Finally, it sports a new X-shaped LED tail lamp with mudguard-mounted halogen indicators.

Performance

Aprilia SR 160 is powered by a 160.3cc, Single-Cylinder, 3-valve, 4-stroke, Fuel Injection engine. It generates a max power of 11 PS at 7100 rpm and a max torque of 13.44 Nm at 5300 rpm.

Moreover, it is mated to a CVT transmission with a 6-litre fuel tank capacity. It is a BS6-compliant Fuel Injection Engine.

Aprilia's iGet Engine brings never-before-seen refinement to the table. Moreover, the iGet technology has a new FI system with a newer starter motor, a larger airbox, and an optimised transmission.

Additional Detail

The dimensions are 1985mm in length, 806mm in width, and 1261mm in height. Moreover, the wheelbase is 1365mm. 30mm Telescopic Fork and 5-Step Adjustable Hydraulic Shock Absorber handle suspension duties.

Aprilia SR 160 gets a 155mm ground clearance. And, the kerb weight is 118kg. The under-seat storage space is just 11 litres.
