Master Changan Motors Limited (MCML) will expand its hybrid lineup in Pakistan with the local assembly of the Deepal S05, a range-extended hybrid electric SUV, starting in November 2025.
This initiative continues the company's efforts to increase its presence in the C-segment SUV market.
Over 1,000 km driving range
The Deepal S05 combines electric motors that power the wheels with a combustion engine that recharges the battery, extending the driving range. The powertrain provides over 1,000 km on a single tank and charge, combining electric propulsion with traditional fuel.
Built on an EV-first platform, the S05 has the longest wheelbase and widest body among locally available C-segment SUVs.
This configuration provides a larger cabin space, suitable for families and long-distance travel. The SUV is already available in international markets under the Deepal brand and has been reviewed for its interior space and ride quality.
Since entering the Pakistani market six years ago, MCML has had good sales nationwide.
In 2024, the company introduced the Deepal S07 SUV and L07 sedan, expanding its presence in the new energy vehicle segment. In August 2025, Changan ranked as the third best-selling car brand in Pakistan.
With the introduction of the Deepal S05 in 2025, MCML plans to provide consumers with hybrid technology and extended driving range in the C-segment SUV market.
