United Motors Lanka, the sole authorised distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Sri Lanka, has launched the all-new Destinator.
The SUV is positioned for customers seeking space, safety, and a range of features. The Destinator is offered with a three-row configuration and is priced from LKR 24.95 million (US$ 80,500).
At this price level, the model includes features commonly available in higher-priced SUVs, making it suitable for private, professional, and corporate buyers.
The Destinator is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 163 PS and 250 Nm of torque, intended for both urban use and longer-distance driving.
It is equipped with five multi-terrain drive modes - normal, wet, gravel, tarmac and mud - which allow drivers to adjust vehicle settings for different road and weather conditions in Sri Lanka.
The SUV also features high ground clearance and ASEAN-tuned suspension to support ride stability across varied surfaces.
In terms of safety, the Destinator has received a five-star ASEAN NCAP safety rating and is fitted with six SRS airbags.
It also includes the Mitsubishi safety sensing suite, comprising features such as blind spot warning (BSW), rear cross traffic alert (RCTA) and forward collision mitigation (FCM), which are intended to assist drivers and reduce the risk of collisions.
The interior is configured as a three-row cabin with seating for seven adults. The driver area includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster.
Additional features include a panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, and an eight-speaker Yamaha sound system. The cabin layout incorporates flexible seating, storage spaces, and connectivity features for occupants across all seating rows.
Commenting on the launch, United Motors Lanka Executive Director and Group CEO Chanaka Yatawara said, "The Mitsubishi Destinator aligns with Sri Lankan consumer requirements. It combines space, technology, and safety at a price point that is positioned within the segment. The model is supported by after-sales service, warranty coverage, and island-wide parts availability."
The Destinator has been introduced to the Sri Lankan market to address demand in the three-row SUV segment.
Test drives are available at United Motors Mitsubishi showrooms across Sri Lanka.
