Ampere has now trademarked two new names - Nexus and Aspirus - and these will most likely find their way onto future Ampere EVs.

Upcoming Ampere e-scooter is based heavily on the NXG concept showcased at 2023's Auto Expo and the name Nexus seems like one of the more likely possibilities for this upcoming Ampere EV. The company's social media handles have been using the hashtag 'the NEX big thing' in reference to this scooter, which further augments this possibility.

This e-scooter will likely sit above the Primus in the company's line-up, considering it appears to be a premium product with a large digital display, flush-mounted pillion foot pegs, all-LED lighting and even a front disc brake - an Ampere first.

Second name Aspirus could find its way to the NXU concept showcased alongside the NXG, which is targeted toward the B2B sector and last-mile mobility. However, it is too early to tell with certainty that this will happen. More details are expected to trickle in once the company makes an official announcement.
